Trish Turner, head of the IRS crypto unit, has resigned from her position, marking another high-profile departure from the tax agency. She will now join CryptoTaxGirl as tax director, leveraging her expertise to assist taxpayers and institutions in navigating crypto tax obligations. Laura Walter, founder of CryptoTaxGirl, emphasized Turner's addition will enhance the firm's ability to deliver top-tier guidance and compliance assurance.

The IRS faces mounting challenges, including leadership turnover and budget constraints. Turner's exit follows the departures of other key crypto-focused officials, Seth Wilks and Raj Mukherjee, earlier this year.
